Louvain-la-Neuve – Pinus

Old Scotch pine stand from 1914.

This stand is located in the bois de Lauzelle (50.6805N, 4.603E), next to the city of Louvain-la-Neuve. Aside Scotch pine, chestnut (Castanea sativa Mill.), silver birch (Betula pendula Roth) and some indiviuals of sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) and beech are accompanying species.
